about me
“The best teachers are those who show you where to look, but don’t tell you what to see” ~Alexandra K.Trenfor
My name is Justin Bechthold and I recently graduated from the University of Calgary with my Bachelor of Science, with distinction, concentrating in Chemistry and Mathematics. Currently I am at the University of Lethbridge completing my Bachelor of Education After Degree with a Science Education Major & Mathematics Education Minor.
I was born and raised in Calgary, AB where I grew up with my parents and younger sister Jessica. I am an active person who loves to work out, hike through the mountains, run and play basketball. I use these activities as escapes from everyday life, before bringing myself back to reality. I have experience coaching, tutoring and working with Diverse Learners, which is practical knowledge I am excited to integrate into my classroom.
For three summers, I volunteered at Casa de Paz Orphanage in Baja Mexico. This was a fantastic experience where I got to see the huge benefits that could be brought to the lives of children just by being there for them. This has sparked an interest in me to get involved with organizations in the future to provide relief to communities in various areas of the world.
I can’t wait until I am graduated and a certified teacher. I am extremely passionate about learning, education as well as math and science. I aspire to teach, but not limiting myself to, High School Mathematics, Chemistry and General Science. I can’t wait until I am graduated and a certified teacher.
